Michigan Bite Splint
A bite splint is a proactive step to protect your existing healthy teeth. A clear, thin removable device, your custom-made splint is worn over your upper teeth as you sleep. Michigan bite splints offset the wearing down of your teeth. Although it will first feel like a mouthful, you’ll get used to the feeling within a week. Studies suggest those who grind and clench their teeth may experience up to 80 times the normal tooth wear per day compared to those who do not. The good news is that a simple bite splint can offset the effects of this often-subconscious habit while protecting your teeth from daily wear and tear.

Sports Mouth Guard

If you and your family are active in sports, we have a custom fitted mouth guard for you. A sports mouth guard is a flexible appliance made out of plastic that is worn in athletic and recreational activities to protect teeth from trauma. This helps prevent lacerations and bruising of the lips and cheeks, especially for those who wear orthodontic appliances. A mouth guard greatly decreases the risk of broken or knocked out teeth during sporting events.

Silent Nite (Snore-Guard) Device

This affordable custom-made device aids in snore prevention. They are flexible, thin, and comfortable. You wear them while you are sleeping and they prevent the jaw and tongue from dropping back to obstruct the air passages. It allows you to breathe easier so you get a more restful sleep. The Silent Nite prevents snoring but does not inhibit oral breathing. This device has also been proven effective in cases of Obstructive Sleep Apnea.
